    Chocolate Ice Cream

    Carob powder and  finely ground cacao nibs on top would be great!

    Ingredients:

    • 1 3/4 cup cashews or pieces
    • 1 3/4 cups purified water
    • 1 banana
    • 3/4 cup raw honey
    • dash vanilla powder
    • 1/4 tsp almond flavor
    • 1/3 c. cacao powder

    Directions:

    1. Combine all ingredients in a blender.
    2. Pour into an ice cream maker and freeze according to instructions. Or just put it into an airtight container and freeze. You may want to blend again, but its amazing.

    My husband says, “I”m not a fan of kombucha, but this is delicious! Like a Dairy Queen Frosty!”

    You won’t believe how good it is to mix a fermented Kombucha, bubbly and light, with the whipped  perfection of a fruit frostie! This recipe combines frozen fruit with Kombucha  and a touch of fresh lime juice. The flavor outcome will vary depending on what berry and what flavor of kombucha you use, so play around and have fun with it! The frosties and smoothies store-bought are often loaded with sugar and milk products. Make it yourself, the way you want it, with this organic recipe full of healthy probiotics, and get your daily fermented food into your diet!
    Ingredients:
    1 frozen banana

    1 1/4 cup chopped strawberries

    1 1/4  cup raw kombucha

    1 tbsp lime juice

    edible flowers – I used Alyssum, or sprigs of mint

    Instructions:

    Blend all ingredients, and serve! Optional ideas are to use blueberries or raspberries, instead of strawberries. Add 3 T. chopped mint before blending.
    serve over crushed ice with an edible flower in the glass. Add a little Stevia for more sweetening, if desired.

    Blend:
    1 c. coconut milk
    10 strawberries
    2 bananas
    3 drizzles agave or coconut syrup.
    Freeze, or put in your ice cream maker to stir for 25 minutes. Freeze again until ready to eat.

    I picked up a Cuisinart ice cream maker at the local thriftstore and made my first ice cream! I’m eating it right now.
    It was 3 bananas
    1 c. coconut milk
    2 T. cacao powder
    3 drizzles coconut nectar

    Freeze the bucket for several hours, up to 24 for some freezers. Put the ingredients in and let the maker stir it for 25 minutes. It’s so good!

    “The muffins will come out moist and naturally sweet with a little bit of a crunchy texture from the nuts. For a richer texture, you can add some raisins, walnuts or even some carrot shavings (or pulp from carrot juice). The possibilities are endless and so is the guilt! The more healthy ingredients you add, the more nutrient rich these muffins will be.

    If you do not own a dehydrator, some toaster ovens are equipped with a dehydrator option. Or, you can “bake” these on the lowest oven temperature your oven will allow. My oven will not go lower than 200 degrees. Anything heated over 118 degrees is not considered raw. However, if you do bake these on low temperatures, they will still be a healthier muffin than the supermarket varieties that contain additives, preservatives and unhealthful oils and fats.

    When I am forced to “bake” raw dishes in the oven, I cut the time needed if I was to dehydrate in half. You just need to keep an eye on them to be sure that they don’t dry out.”

    Ingredients:
    1 tablespoon raw whole golden flax seeds, ground into a meal in a coffee grinder or small food processor
    ¼ cup raw oat groats, ground into a powder/flour
    ¾ cup raw organic almonds, ground into a powder/flour
    Dashes of cinnamon and nutmeg
    3 tbsp water
    1 ripe banana, mashed up really well
    1 tablespoon agave
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Preparation:
    Combine the ground oats, ground almonds, and cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl.
    Whisk flax seed and water together briskly
    Add to mixture of ground oats and almonds
    Add mashed banana and combine well.
    Place mini muffin paper liners into a pan. Spoon a small amount into each mini muffin liner. Press down to pack with the edge of a spoon or your finger.

    Dehydrate muffins at 105 degrees for about 4 hours.
    Remove the muffin liners from the pan and dehydrate for another 6 hours or until desired consistency.

    If you are baking a low heat, bake at 200 degrees for about 5 hours. Check muffins during baking to be sure that they don’t dry out.

    This healthy muffin recipe makes about 12 mini-muffins.

    banana pudding

    Banana Pudding -
    Mash 3 bananas with
    3 Tablespoon of raw carob powder,
    a hpg. T. lucuma powder
    1 pinch vanilla powder or 1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1T. cinnamon.
    Blend until creamy. Sprinkle with lemon if you’re not going to eat it right away. Chill.

    Fast, easy, tastes wonderful, and fat-free! Try it with cacao powder instead of carob.
    Coconut oil, coconut, coconut milk, almond butter, cacao nibs, apples and berries make wonderful additions.

    To dehydrate banana chips, slice bananas into small chips. Put them all in a big bag and sprinkle with:
    lemon juice, then
    sea salt
    chili powder
    cayenne
    garlic
    paprika
    oregano
    Optional- Trader Joe’s 21 Seasoning Salute
    Dehydrate at 104 degrees for 12-72 hours, depending on if you want them soft and chewy, or crisp. Squeeze lemon juice on top and they’ll keep their color longer.

    It’s pretty endless the amount of fun you can have with some Kitz products and good quality fruit. This parfait only took about 5mins to put together and the results speak for themselves, the girls loved them. The banana was perfect ripeness, a few black spots! Yes that’s when they are perfect, nice and sweet but not mushy. The recipe quantities are a rough guide as you will have to adjust it to suit the number of parfaits you wish to make and in all honesty!! I didn’t measure as I was going. I only made these 2 so that’s what my estimations will be for. Have fun and enjoy.

    Layer 1
    1 cup Kitz Active walnuts – roughly chopped quickly in your blender
    1 tbs cacao nibs
    4 dates – finely chopped

    Layer 2
    1 large ripe banana
    2-3 tbs sunflower seeds or cashews
    Pinch stevia (or 1tbs agave or a date or 2)
    Little bit of raw ground vanilla bean or vanilla extract

    Layer 3
    4 tbs Simply Granola
    4 tbs Choci-Jo

    Layer 4
    1 large ripe banana
    ¾ tspn raw cacao powder (less is best as you can add if you need too)
    2 tbs raw dark agave
    Little bit of vanilla
    1 tsp psyllium (or cashews or sunflower seeds)

    Layer 5 (Decorate)

    4 Tbspn Choci-Jo
    Banana sliced
    1 Tspn cacao nibs

    morning smoothie :

    1/2 cup kale,

    4 frozen strawberries,

    1 banana,

    1/2 cup water, and it is GREAT! Have it with tablespoon almond butter for breakfast, good source vitamin c!
