The Raw Food World Conference 2011′ in Vilcabamba, Ecuador!
LADIES and GENTLEMAN!!!… BOYS and GIRLS of ALL ages… It’s that time again that MANY of you have been WAITING patiently for…

It is time… for ‘The Raw Food World Conference 2011′ in Vilcabamba, Ecuador!!!

We held this same kind of free event last year in May and OVER 120 people showed up from ALL around the world!!! We are anticipating even MORE people participating THIS year!!!

This event is lined up to take place AGAIN this year from May 1st – May 14th. There is NO CHARGE for this FREE event in terms of “entrance tickets” – just get yourself here and find a place to stay! It’s like a large group of like-minded people being on vacation at the same time in the same area. Like last year, this is intended to be a “FREE-FLOW” gathering and can TRULY be an inspiring co-creation; not Angela, I or anyone else is specifically ‘in charge’ of this event. Last year there was such a DIVERSE group of individuals here that the attendees actually provided a MAJOR portion of the speaking events that took place. This year, we are intending to bring just a TAD bit more structure to this event.

This year we intend to have a schedule available in advance for ALL of the events and you will notice that there are a BUNCH of open slots in this schedule. These slots are for those of you attending this event who would love to share your teachings and insights. If you intend to attend this event and want to share some of your wisdom with us all, contact us on the event web page that we will provide below.

There will most likely be hikes together, raw food talks, foraging walks, horse-back riding, yoga sessions, group meditations, hot/cold spring adventures, farm tours, parties, drum circles, food demos, Zip Lining journey and whatever else we might feel inspired into…

The HUB for this event is lining up to be at the Madre Tierra hotel, which is an ideal distance from town for privacy and a quieter ambience. Madre Tierra is where we will be gathering and where many of the events, talks and PARTIES will most likely take place. I am CONFIDENT that this hotel is going to FILL up fast. Kirsten Gum, Gourmet Raw Food Chef and the owner of www.RawTrips.com, a mindful travel, conscious cuisine tour operator, specializing in hands on raw food instruction and offering zen lifestyle experiences, will be the guest Raw Chef at Madre Tierra for the entire time. This way all guests will have at least a couple of BEAUTIFUL raw food selections for each meal. Additionally, there will be an unlimited supply of fresh coconuts that you can purchase, along with many different types of superfoods at Madre Tierra. There are only about 35 rooms available at the hotel. Last time over 120 people showed up, so if you’re interested, I recommend that you book your hotel room at Madre Tierra ASAP!!! Additionally, Dave ‘The Raw Food Truck Driver’ and Tresa are staying at Madre Tierra and they already have quite a number of people who intend to book alongside them.

    Go HERE -http://www.therawfoodworld.com/vilcabamba.html
to learn more about this event, to get information on how to book your room, to get a speaking slot, and to see the current schedule!

Sponsoring the event with Angela and I are Dave ‘The Raw Food Truck Driver’ and his dear ally Tresa. MANY of you already know who Dave ‘The Raw Food Truck Driver’ is, of course! In 2008 “Dave The Raw Food Trucker” weighed over 430 pounds. He was taking over 25 prescription medications and suffering from colon cancer, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, failing kidneys, and a myriad of other health ailments. He could literally FEEL that he was dying, and he began to resign to that dismal fate!

Luckily, Dave met two people who showed him a special dietary plan. With their guidance he was able to lose over 230 pounds in less than 1 1/2 years. And in fact, after only FOUR days on that diet, he was able to STOP taking ALL of his diabetes medications! Today, Dave is healthy, happy, AND only taking one prescription medication (which he plans to stop taking soon!) PLUS, he is living life and having fun like NEVER before! Dave’s expert insight from his amazing healing journey, combined with Tresa’s Raw-Vegan lifestyle knowledge, and Life-Coaching skills, will be an AWESOME addition to ‘The Raw Food World Conference 2011′.

Dave, Tresa, Angela and myself will offer various speaking slots during this event. I also have a list of other GREAT speakers who I will be adding to the events schedule soon. You can continually check this webpage by clicking HERE, as we continue to fill up the speaking slots on a daily basis :-)

Again, this is a “FREE-FLOW” event with nobody particularly ‘in-charge’ – we welcome all co-creative suggestions and offerings. Simply get here. Join up with the group and get ready to explore a week or two of spontaneous joy and connection together in the sacred Valley of Longevity.

Bring your senses of humour and adventure, your water bottles, flashlights and hiking shoes…leave behind your expectations, left-brain worries and stilettos…!!!

Please be aware that Vilcabamba is a small town; if you intend to join this gathering, please come with a sense of respect and honour towards the local people, culture and ways of life – we can co-create an enjoyable, enriching experience for everyone! Again, there is LIMITED space at Madre Tierra, the HUB of this event, so we encourage you to book ASAP!

Click HERE to learn more about this event, to get information on how to book your room, to get a speaking slot, and to see the current schedule!

We hope to see you here! Vilcabamba is blossoming into a little hub in the Andes of raw food orientated/yogic/conscious/eco-friendly, like-minded community. Well-known for the longevity of its residents, the region is traditionally home to an unusual number of centenarians, seemingly due to the outstanding soil/air/water quality in the area and the relaxed pace of life. Life in Vilcabamba is very simple and easy-going, with many people still riding around on horseback, children playing safely in the streets late into the evening and life centered around the simple town square.

Vilcabamba is remarkably fertile and the climate in the area is described as ‘like spring all year round’, with food growing in abundance and houses built without either heaters or air conditioning…rich greenery, stunning views and rainbows abound… JOIN US :)

These grow in the hotel, as well, for free!

The Daily Coconut from the Wheatgrass Man

Every little restaurant, everywhere, has smoothies and juices – fresh! They’re amazing. Our favorite, my son and I, was the passion fruit – manaquillas. Also, pineapple juice, orange, papaya, peach, and tomatillas! The 2 health food cafes in town have great mixes of smoothies, including green smoothies, and everyone has salads. Pieter and both health food cafes have raw wheatgrass crackers, flax crackers, and coconut chips from Angela and Matt MOnarch. Then you can also grab a papaya, banana, or any of the fruits from any local markets along the street.

I’m eating a papaya right now, had some sugarcane earlier in our hike, and bought some jungle peanuts and flax crackers from the wheatgrass guy! Kev’s looking at houses and we went to a zoo for Keith.

    #2
I found the wheatgrass guy who cuts his own wild wheatgrass! He’s gonna show me where to cut it! For breakfast I’m having guava, pineapple, papaya and cantaloupe. Yesterday i drank out of a huge coconut and today I’m finding the raw chocolate!

The Importance of Clean Air!!! Article, by Matt Monarch
The following information is for education only and is not meant to diagnose, prescribe, or treat illness. It is valuable to seek the advice of an alternative health care professional before making any changes.

I didn’t realize the importance of air quality until I went on a 100% Raw Food Diet and I began to become more and more sensitive to air pollution. Then I read what was to become one of my favorite Raw Food/Breatharian books called ‘Man’s Higher Consciousness

‘, by Hilton Hotema. I feel that this book should be MANDATORY reading for EVERYONE!!!… and in my opinion, it will teach you the absolute truth about how Modern Man is the ‘degenerate descendant’ of the Breatharian and how all disease can be seen as an adaptation to toxicity. Additionally, you will learn more around the issues of immunity and sensitivities.

From what I remember, Hilton Hotema states that when an infant breathes in poisoned polluted air, they become ailed with a runny nose from the pollution; this could be thought of as an early warning sign. Usually, however, this bodily reaction continues and is eventually simply ‘silenced’, as the body accommodates and adapts to the air pollution. This was just one example stated in this book and it opened my mind to the truth about the absolute importance of clean air. Soon after reading that book, I experienced the cleanest air that I have ever found in the US. Immediately, my third eye started to vibrate and I felt totally ENERGIZED. I felt like I was on a drug trip, as HIGH as can be! I knew from that day forward, that someday I was going to settle in one of the areas of the world with PRISTINE air quality – this was a clear priority for me.

TEN YEARS later, that day seems to have finally come. Angela and I just moved to Vilcabamba, Ecuador where the air quality feels unparalleled. In just one short week the benefits that I have been experiencing are miraculous. Wrinkles have been disappearing from my face. I used to have black heads in my skin but in this pristine air, they seem to be nonexistent. I used to wake up with a runny nose every morning out in the US. I thought that this was maybe due to too much fat in my raw diet. However, I now believe it was mainly the detoxification of poisons from the air, on an ongoing basis. If you watch our most recent episodes from our TV Show, you may notice how good our skin seems to look and how much healthier we look in general here.

It is AMAZING to me, as I sit here typing at my computer and breathe in PRISTINE air. I feel that being enveloped in this kind of air is the way we were MEANT to live and it makes me want to cry in happinesss. Adapting here is definitely a process. With just the smallest amount of exercise, my heart rate rapidly increases as I HUFF and PUFF, in just a short period of time. I feel like we are in a completely different atmosphere, like outer-space or something. I feel that the “becoming younger” benefits will be ongoing for many years on end now, JUST BY LIVING HERE!!!

The air up here contains more minerals to sustain the body, there is less carbon dioxide and more oxygen and ozone. Additionally, the top soil is not emiting off odors of acid decay. I feel that out here, if a person is eliminating the excess toxins from the body appropriately, it would be almost impossible to run into a deficiency. Experiments consistently show, without exception, that elimination is much more important than feeding. Many people refuse to recognize this fact, especially because when living in a polluted environment, deficiencies are more common. When I say that I feel a person will not run into a deficiency out here if they keep up with the elimination, this is not in regards to the food being so mineral- and vitamin-rich, but rather I’m referring to the mineral-rich quality of the air here. In future Newsletters, I feel that my articles are going to focus more on air quality and I will also provide scientific research that backs up some of the ideas presented here.

There are definite precautions that a person would do well to follow if consuming a ‘clean’ diet and living in this type of pristine environment.

To illustrate this hypothesis, Hilton Hotema offers the perfect example in his book, “Man’s Higher Consciousness”. In a clinical experiment, a group of scientists put Bird-A in a glass cage with no air outlets. Breath by breath, the bird exhaled CO2, and the air in the cage became increasingly more toxic. Because the process happened gradually, the bird was able to adapt to the CO2-rich environment. Bird-A was then removed from the glass cage. Bird-B was placed in the same CO2-rich environment. Bird-B died in moments from shock. Bird-B had no time to adapt like Bird-A, and the sudden extreme toxicity made it impossible to sustain life.

Most urban areas within the US are like the CO2 enriched bird cage, while places like the Himalayas or Vilcabamba might represent the outside of the bird cage. The longer a person stays in a pristine environment, the ‘cleaner’ they become at a cellular level, the more sensitive they become, and the more damaging polluted enviroments become for them. I was in NYC just three months ago. The pollution did effect me, however, if I were to live out here in Vilcabamba for a decade and then go back to NYC, I sense that the effects could be devastatingly harsh for my body.

In my mind, the positives outweighs any of the potential ‘sensitivity’ risks involved when adhering to a clean lifestyle like this. I hope that this opens your mind to the importance of air quality and that perhaps you too take this into more consideration. Again, in future articles, I intend to go deeper into these concepts.
